Toyota To Produce Sports Models For Entire Lineup In The Future

You know Nissan produced that weird NISMO-esque Duke? Yeah, the one where they added some slight performance bits, but where they really only added a couple of useless splitters and some colours. The Japanese company got a taste for it and started added sporty bits and NISMO badges to almost everything they could get their hands on. Now, it looks as though Toyota are thinking along the same lines.

With the Yaris now adorning the GRMN badge and already feeling wisps of success, it’s time for everything else to get the same treatment, according to their Twitter account…

There are plans in the pipeline to introduce high-performance variants of all models in the future… Watch this space!

That’s right – if this is true, which I expect it is (or someone might be getting their P45), that means even the Prius will be getting the fast car-treatment. It’s unsure as to whether the Supra will be getting any faster. Its name already includes the GR tag, which denotes its connection to the Gazoo Racing and the Nurburgring, so is that as far as it goes? Hopefully not, as its marketed performance is yet to match our expectations.
