1. THE HISTORY SUPERME $4.8 BILLION

The History Supreme is the most expensive yacht in the world and for good reason; it is made with solid gold. No one knows the owner, but it was reportedly sold to an anonymous Malaysian businessman in 2011.

2. THE ECLIPSE $1.9 BILLION

At first glance, The Eclipse looks almost like a really clean battleship, but don’t be fooled; this is a luxury yacht through and through. Owned by Russian billionaire Roman Abramovich, The Eclipse has two helicopter pads, 24 guest cabins, a dance hall, two swimming pools, and several hot tubs. Basically it’s a small cruise liner.

3. THE AZZAM $600 MILLION

The Azzam is the biggest private yacht in the world. No one knows who the owner is, but rumor has it the royal family of AbuDhabi are the lucky owners. The Azzam also reportedly has its own submarine and a missile defense system. You know, just in case.

4. THE RISING SUN $590 MILLION

The Rising Sun was original commissioned for the founder of Oracle, Larry Ellison. In 2007, entertainment mogul bought a half-share in the yacht, and in 2010 he bought the other half. This superyacht can accomdate 18 guests with a staff of 55, and comes with a basketball court.

5. THE SERENE $560 MILLION

The Serene belongs to the deputy crown prince of Saudi Arabia, Mohammed bin Salam, who purchased the yacht in 2015 for roughly $560 million.

6. MOTOR YACHT A $440 MILLION

Motor Yacht A (a Dwight Schrute type of name if I have ever heard one) belongs to Russian coal tycoon Andrey Melnichenko, who has reportedly put it up for sale. The yacht is designed to resemble a submarine, has a bomb proof master cabin. Motor Yacht A has three swimming pools and can accomodate up to 14 guests.

7. THE DUBAI $400 MILLION

The Dubai is a 532 foot superyacht owned by Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Emir of Dubai. It comes complete with a helipad, circular staircase, and mosaic swimming pool.

8. THE AL SAID $300 MILLION

The 509 foot Al Said is owned by the Sultan of Oman. Information on the Al Said’s amenities are scarce, but it does have a concert hall that can accomodate a 50 piece orchestra.

9. THE DILBAR $256 MILLION

In terms of gross tonnage, the Dilbar is the world’s largest yacht (15,917 tons). It is owned by Alisher Usmanov, a Russian Billionaire. In addition to two helipads, The Dilbar also has an indoor swimming pool and 3,800 meters of living space. The Dilbar has a cruise speed of 22.5 knots.

10. AL MIRQAB $250 MILLION

Rounding out our list at “only” $250 million, is the Al Mirqab. This winner of the Motor Yacht of the Year award in 2009 is owned by the former Prime Minister of Qatar, Hamad bin Jassim bin Jaber Al Thani. The Al Mirqab has two VIP suites, each with their own ballroom, living room, and double bedroom.
