Someone’s Built A LEGO Six Speed – And It Works!

We’ve covered a few of these incredible lego builds. From rally cars to fully working engines… Well, now we have the manual gearbox for the engine to mate to! Now we just need a differential…

Here’s the engine if you haven’t seen it already!

And here’s the gearbox!

Anyway, this build is a manual six-speed with a working shifter. No need for a clutch, though! Watching the video, you can easily see as he connects up a motor, that as he changes up the gears the output shaft turns faster as the input shaft remains consistent.

This really is a great piece of work – so go and show some love to the maker!

Alex started racing at a young age so certainly knows his way around a car and a track. He can just about put a sentence together too, which helps.

He has a great interest in the latest models, but would throw all of his money at a rusty old French classic and a 300ZX.
