Prettiest Ever Maserati Reborn By Ares Design As Modern Sports Car

You guys went crazy a few months back over a car by Ares Design called the Ares Panther. It was based on the DeTomaso Pantera and built on Lamborghini’s Hurucan. You also went crazy for their Ferrari 412 design which was built on the GTC4 Lusso. But I think the company have now outdone themselves with this latest car which is inspired by the gorgeous Maserati A6G/2000.

Ares Design’s latest concept, which they’re naming ‘Project Wami’ is based on the incredibly good looking 1950s Maserati A6G/2000 Spyder. And as you can see, it’s quite the stunner, incorporating many of the influential design elements of the original into a modern idea. It boasts elements of other iconic sports cars of the classic era too, with hints of AC’s Cobra visible throughout.

Powertrain figures are yet to be stated, but Ares Design isn’t a company to shy away from plenty of horses, so expect some large figures. And as the original A6G/2000 sold at auction for $2.5 million in 2013, we can also expect a large price tag, too. Especially as the bodywork is hand crafted in aluminium and carbon fibre, and the interior looks… well, just look at it.
