Did you know Nico Rosberg has a YouTube channel? I had no idea, but after seeing this video, I am a firm subscriber. The video starts with Eddie Jordan introducing Rosberg’s new car: A 1955 Mercedes 300SL.

He talks us through the ‘complicated’ process it takes to turn the car on. Don’t forget it’s from 1955, so it’s not as easy as pressing a button. First of all the electrics need to be turned on by turning the key. Then the E-pump needs to go on, accompanied by a lovely whirring sound that is more than pleasing on the ears. Then the choke has to go on. Finally, push the key in and launch the potent engine into life.

The car needs to run for a while before he can start his scenic route through Monaco to the hills where he can unleash the full potential of his new car. And that he certainly does! It’s a spectacle weaving around the mountains, one that I would do anything to own myself.
