Hero 3D Prints His Own Lamborghini Aventador

Let’s face it, all of us would do almost anything to be able to own a Lamborghini Aventador in our lifetime. It may not be the perfect car for you, but you can’t deny a high performance V12 that can light up a tunnel with its banshee-like howl.

But these cars are very expensive, usually around the £800,000 mark, way out of my budget! But there’s a way around this. One mad has a cheat code.

Using 3D printing, one man has spent only $29,000 to build himself the body of this Italian supercar. This includes the body panels, the interior, and the front and rear lights. You can see the majority of the process in the video below.

The remaining parts, brakes, ECU, etc, were bought from eBay, Wilwood, Holley, and some parts were bought straight from Lamborghini. Unfortunately though, you won’t find the 6.5-litre V12 behind the driving seat. Instead, an LS1 ripped straight from a 2003 Corvette sits on the transaxle from a Porsche 911. These power the back wheels reliably and with plenty of growling. Yes, it may ruin this project for many readers, but you can’t deny how cool this is.

Would you 3D print your own car? Let us know in the comments.

Alex started racing at a young age so certainly knows his way around a car and a track. He can just about put a sentence together too, which helps. He has a great interest in the latest models, but would throw all of his money at a rusty old French classic and a 300ZX. Contact: [email protected]
