Ferrari Goes Nuts With The New FXX-K Evo

Ferrari took a LeFerrari and thought to themselves “Not good enough.” So they went ahead and created the Ferrari FXX-K, a race version of the LaFerrari packed with goodies like a tuned engine and KERs system and improved aero.

Then the good folks at Maranello looked at the FXX-K and thought to themselves “More.” So here we are with the FXX-K Evo, and judging by the amount of aero tweaks and additions, the Evo should be able to downforce itself into the ground and through to the other side of the Earth.

The Evo has a completely reshaped front fascia with carbon fiber splitters and a twin profile, split rear wing with fixed fins. Hidden from the naked eye are vortex generators underneath the car along the belly and a huge rear diffuser. Air will travel over the hood and canopy to the rear wing.

At 124 MPH, the FXX-K Evo will produce a total of 1,411 LBS of downforce. In addition to all the aero goodness, the Evo also has a returned suspension, a new steering wheel, and a larger interior display. Current owners of the FXX-K can opt to have the cars upgraded to an Evo, while a limited number of brand new Evos will be produced.

Since the Evo isn’t street legal, Ferrari will have a nine race schedule set up for owners who wish to thrash their cars around a track. If you are lucky enough to own one, you absolutely should. This monster is meant to be driven!
