A McLaren P1 GT Longtail To Be Revealed At Festival Of Speed

It’s time, ladies and gentlemen. Lanzante have finally decided to grant our biggest wish of producing a McLaren P1 GT Longtail, and it will be revealed at the Goodwood Festival of Speed this Friday. Gosh, am I excited!

The guys at Woking have been loving the LTs lately with them only just giving us confirmation of another Longtail to add to their extraordinary range of cars, called the 600LT. This sudden love for LTs must have rubbed off on a Middle Eastern customer who has asked Lanzante for the same treatment but this time, on his own member of the Holy Trinity, his P1.

He’s asked Lanzante to replicate the legendary F1 GT (pictured above), so we’re expecting plenty of slashes, scoops, wings, and aero trickery. The powertrain is still under wraps, but we more than likely expect the tuned version of the hybrid system of the P1 GTR to be shovelled inside, which produces 986bhp.

We can’t wait to see it in person at the Festival of Speed, and can’t wait to hear it tear up their hill climb course.

Alex started racing at a young age so certainly knows his way around a car and a track. He can just about put a sentence together too, which helps. He has a great interest in the latest models, but would throw all of his money at a rusty old French classic and a 300ZX. Contact: [email protected]
