How To Watch The Grand Tour Season 2

The Grand Tour’s second season has officially been confirmed to drop on December 8th, but quite a few things are going to be different this season (though much will stay the same). Here’s everything to know about watching it.

Being an Amazon Prime original web series, The Grand Tour is available exclusively online in most of the world. So, if you want to watch each episode as soon as it drops, you’ve got to be signed up for Amazon Prime (which you can do here). It costs $99 a year, which for people like me who don’t buy very much on Amazon, is a bit of a stretch, since its main benefits are things like free 2-day shipping.

However, if you just want to sign up so you can watch The Grand Tourworry not, as you can simply pay $10.99 a month for the duration of the season without being locked into paying for a full year. This is slightly higher than the monthly cost should you buy Prime for 12 months at once, but still much less than the total cost you would have paid otherwise.

Season 1 had 13 episodes, and this season probably will too; Amazon drops the episodes on the show’s page weekly instead of in one big bingeworthy bunch like Netflix and Hulu do, so you can’t just pay for a month and watch them all in a row. But if you include the free trial, you’re only paying about $30 for enough time to watch all the episodes as they come out. If you’re a student, you also get six free months of Amazon Prime and 50% off the full price once your trial ends, which makes it a much more attractive offer.

The events leading up to the new season’s have been considerably more dramatic than usual, what with Hammond nearly dying and everything, so we’ll have to wait another month for answers to the lingering questions over cheap car challenges and Celebrity Brain Crash.
