You may remember the one off Rolls Royce I wrote about a few days ago. At that point we only had a minimal images from Rolls, and the price had yet to be disclosed.

A few days later and we now have the price ($12.8 million we’ve now been told), more images, and a video! How lucky are we today – although looking back at the comments on the original article, a lot of you didn’t like the look of it.

I can’t say I’m overly enamored either, but it wasn’t built for me, it was built for one of Rolls’ best customers.

I must say, though, its rear end looks rather tasty – much the same as a luxury yacht which was what they were going for, hence the ‘hat shelf’ inside the car and the wrap around body panels that resemble the hull of a boat.

Another interesting feature that stands out is the crystal spirit of ecstasy, which as far as I’m aware, is a very expensive option. The question is, would it break during a head on collision while it’s tucked away underneath the hatch? That would be a pain to clean out, wouldn’t it!

It’s fair to say that the car looks monstrous on the road. Not necessarily in a good way, it just looks big and boaty. However it does earn itself a certain intimidation factor, and like all Rolls Royces, a presence on the road which is hard to beat.

This fella was cruising with a California alongside him. Usually a Ferrari would steal the limelight, but in this scenario, the Rolls had all eyes on it. Maybe for the wrong reasons, but hey. If I’d spent that much money on a car, I’d want people to be staring.

What do you think about this $12.8 million Rolls Royce? That’s a very big number. I think I’d much prefer to spend that much money on.. Oh I don’t know… Anything else…
