McLaren Teases A LEGO 720s For Goodwood Festival Of Speed

The LEGO craze is hitting everyone this year with McLaren now turning their efforts to creating a very special 720s made, from what we can see, entirely out of LEGO.

The new McLaren 720s.

From the teaser on their Twitter page, shown below, it very obviously has a body shell made entirely of LEGO bricks, and will be revealed completely at the Goodwood Festival of Speed!

The British automaker isn’t afraid of building something interesting, obvious after their last creation on April Fools day. This is a 570GT, wrapped entirely in bird’s feathers.

Yes, it was an April fools joke, but McLaren showed us they weren’t afraid to pull off something a bit different, even if it meant having a laugh at themselves – a very important quality for a car company to have.

Any further information is yet to be released. For example, does it house an engine beneath those bricks? Does it move in any way, or is it just a static model?

As soon as we know, you’ll find it here on Grand Tour Nation. But so far, it’s looking to be a very interesting Goodwood Festival of Speed!

QUESTION:

If any car could be made out of LEGO, what would you want? I’d personally love to see a Morgan Aero 8 – any chance of that, Morgan?

Alex started racing at a young age so certainly knows his way around a car and a track. He can just about put a sentence together too, which helps. He has a great interest in the latest models, but would throw all of his money at a rusty old French classic and a 300ZX. Contact: [email protected]
