Someone’s Put The Classic V10 Engine Sound Over Modern F1 Cars And It’s Incredible!

There was a time when I knew nothing about Formula 1. I’d be running through the household on a Sunday, pushing my Audi TT toy car around the house collecting carpet with its front bumper. In the background, humming like a demented swarm of bees, were V10 wielding F1 cars. I had no idea what this sound meant, but I liked it.

These days, I know a bit about F1. But no longer is the intensity of the race reflected in the wailing of the ten cylinders. Now all we hear is the dull drone of turbocharged six-cylinder. It’s not quite as exciting, is it?

Yes, the power units are immense, and coupled with the grip levels, these cars are the very pinnacle of motoring performance, but oh how I wish to hear that howl. When I’m watching, I’m almost tempted to find my TT and run it around the carpet again.

This video brings back the memories of my childhood but adds the impeccable performance of the modern F1 car – and I love it. How I wish for this sound to come back.

Alex started racing at a young age so certainly knows his way around a car and a track. He can just about put a sentence together too, which helps. He has a great interest in the latest models, but would throw all of his money at a rusty old French classic and a 300ZX. Contact: [email protected]
