Real Life “Baby Driver” Car Chase In Texas Involving a Stolen Dodge Challenger Hellcat

This chase may not be as cool as anything seen in the movie “Baby Driver,” but with a Dodge Challenger Hellcat involved, at least we’re talking about some relatively high speeds.

In the town of Beaumont in the Houston, Texas area, a 25-year-old man by the name of Mohmed Ahmed Abu-Shlieba had stolen a Hellcat and led the police on a chase down I-10 before finally being apprehended by a Jefferson County Sherrif’s Office deputy.

As you can see in the video, Abu-Shlieba weaves in and out of traffic with some pretty close calls. Luckily he was mostly going in a straight line so he was able to maintain control of the beastly Hellcat (joke). The police had an eye in the sky to keep track of Abu-Shlieba, and soon enough, the Hellcat ran out of gas.

Abu-Shlieba then continued his shenanigans as he led Jefferson County deputies on foot. He was eventually tackled and apprehended, and according to various news outlets, seemed to laugh the whole incident off. Abu-Shlieba has two outstanding warrants and was taken before the Justice of the Peace Judge Chesson for arraignment and was returned to Houston.
