By now just about everyone has heard of Tesla and the amazing power and performance figures that the company has squeezed out of their electric vehicles. The latest iteration, the P100D, offers performance that many supercars can’t event touch.

It was only a matter of time before the competition would come knocking on Tesla’s door, and the company knocking now is Faraday Future with their very first production car, the FF 91 (nine one, not ninety-one, fyi).

Styling aside, this is one amazing machine. According to Faraday, it has an output of 1,050bhp and is capable of 0-60 times under 2.4 seconds. If that’s accurate, it will be one of the fastest accelerating vehicles in the world.

Just as impressive is the FF 91’s other specifications. These include a flexible chassis, multiple motors allowing for the use of torque vectoring, all-wheel drive, and a range of over 435 miles with a home recharge to 50% in only about four and a half hours.

From what can be seen in the pictures, it looks to be larger than the Tesla Model X, and has a few features not seen in a Tesla such as the smart door pillars which apparently great you, most likely as you approach with the keyfob.

Tesla currently has a significant leg up over any competitors and hardly has much to worry until other companies are on a similar scale. With the companies (Tesla) increased development in order to improve production numbers and time, and the massive success of the unveiling and pre-orders of the upcoming Model 3, we will have to see if any of these up and comers can give Tesla a run for their money, if not also a run through the quarter mile.
