Blizzard Mountain: A Look Ahead At Forza Horizon 3’s Upcoming Expansion

If it’s one thing we can all count on, it’s the Forza series providing an influx of DLC well after the game’s release. To me, that’s both a blessing and a curse since I hate looking at the list of cars in game and having the DLC icon above half of them, but that’s just me being cheap. However, the upcoming expansion for Forza Horizon 3, Blizzard Mountain, is something I intend to pick up ASAP.

The FH expansions have all been excellent; FH1 had the rally expansion, and FH2 had Storm Island. Each one presented players with a variety of new races, cars, upgrades, and a completely new locations. I expect nothing less from Blizzard Mountain.

In Blizzard Mountain, players can expect an entirely new location, Blizzard Mountain (obviously), which is a mountainous, offroad paradise for car nuts. BM will provide the expected extreme offroad and icy driving conditions, and also an extreme sports snow park and a massive frozen lake playground.

In addition to the new location, players can also expect new bonus boards, beauty spots, and a brand new Barn Find (thank goodness for the drone, am I right?).

Of course, what’s an expansion without new cars? Here is a list of the seven new cars coming to Blizzard Mountain:

  • 2016 Ford Gymkhana 9 Focus RS RX
  • 1965 Ford F-100 Flareside Abatti Racing Trophy Truck
  • 1975 Lancia Stratos HF Group 4
  • 1985 Lancia Delta S4 Group B
  • 2016 Nissan Titan Warrior Concept
  • 2016 RJ Anderson #37 Polaris RZR-Rockstar Energy Pro 2 Truck
  • 2016 Subaru #199 WRX STI VT15r Rally Car

Stay tuned for a review of the expansion when it launches on Dec. 13!

Cars, the Buffalo Bills, video games, comics, sandwiches, jelly beans, and the shooting star press; these are the things that Tony loves (in addition to his family, of course). When he's not spending his time writing tech reviews for theslanted.com, Tony puts his lifetime love of muscle cars to use on his 2015 Mustang GT. Tony's top three favorite cars are the 1973 Mustang Mach 1, Ferrari 458, and Aston Martin DBS.

  1. I also didn’t preorder every retailer edition of the game for which all the bonus cars appear in my garage for purchase options. Sheesh.
