The Grand Tour Tent and Crew Land In Loch Ness

The next stop for the filming of The Grand Tour has already started setting up. This time the show will be coming from the south-western tip of the legendary Loch Ness, outside of Fort Augustus.

The filming details for this week’s filming have been kept highly secret in comparison to previous filming locations. However, there has been some break in the secrecy as revealed in The Press & Journal.

The Press & Journal revealed that local co-owner of the bed and breakfast known as Old Pier House, Jenny Mackenzie, has told them that the production team had contacted her in regards to borrowing some of their boats to use during filming.  Mackenzie also stated that about a dozen employees of The Grand Tour stayed with them in the B&B.

Mrs. Mackenzie was quoted as saying ““We are hoping to get a look inside as we have someone coming on Tuesday to use two of our boats, and we’ll hopefully be able to persuade him to show us around. We are not sure why they are wanting to use the boats.” She continued saying that “In the village, there are rumors going round about whether the road will have to be closed off during filming – but they’re only rumors.”

In conclusion, Mrs. Mackenzie was happy to see the crew in her local area, stating “Having them all in the village for the week can only be a good thing for the local economy.”

It would seem The Grand Tour has generally brought nothing but smiles and a bit of curiosity to the communities fortunate enough to receive them. What could possibly be in store for us in the episode from the legendary loch?
