Can you believe it has already been nearly an entire week since the epic, record-breaking premiere of The Grand Tour? Neither can we. Even though we have just barely begun to recover from the epicness that was Episode 1 after watching it on repeat over the past week, we’re mere hours away from the premiere of Episode 2. If you we’re blown away by the Episode 1 trailer then prepare yourself because you are about to be even more blown away by the awesome new trailer for Episode 2!
We’ve had the chance to watch the trailer a few dozen times now so we have decided to break it down to give you an idea of what to expect when the episode debuts. Take a look below to see what’s in store this week on The Grand Tour.
Aston Martin Vulcan
It looks like we are all in for an automotive treat this week as the boys get behind the wheel of the amazing Aston Martin Vulcan. The Vulcan is an 800 brake horsepower supercar, with a 7.0L V-12 engine, that weighs in just under 3,000 lbs. The car sports a price tag of $2.3 million and there are only 24 in existence. I can’t wait to see what they have to say about this amazing machine.
Cars Racing Through a War Zone
Michael Bay looks to have had a hand in this week’s episode as it is full of explosions, gun fights, car chases, and war zones! The trailer shows James and Jeremy driving through what looks to be a war zone, shooting machine guns out the windows and blowing up their surroundings. If you are a fan of high-intensity action films then Episode 2 looks like it will be right up your alley.
Captain Slow Becomes an Unwilling Hoonigan
James May doesn’t enjoy many things, and you can now add “the smell of tire smoke in the evening”, to that list. In a bit of over-the-top hooning, a group of South Africans show James May what they’re all about. He may not be having a good time, but I know that we will be while watching it. This segment will probably be one of the most comedic of the night and if the premiere episode is any indicator, it will be one of many hilarious pieces of Episode 2.
Richard Hammond Gets In A Knife Fight
As you have seen in our article about what to expect this season, Richard Hammond is in a never-ending quest to not die while making The Grand Tour. This week looks to be no different as he has chosen to enter into a knife fight with an unknown opponent. We’re not sure if they called him Hamster one too many times, or if he is just fed up with all the short jokes but it looks like things have gotten serious. Tune in to see what other kinds of death-defying moments Hammond has in store for us this week.
The Grand Tour is on a roll right now with massive success, record-breaking viewership, and worldwide critical acclaim. Can the boys keep it up past Episode 1? We’re confident that they will and we can’t wait to watch the new episode this Friday.
